Several fixed-term, paid positions are available during the summer camping
season. A daily wage plus meals and lodging is provided to the well-qualified
individuals willing to devote themselves for the summer. Wages are determined
upon experience, willingness to serve, and responsibility.
As general rule, applicants should be at least 18 years old (or possess a
valid working permit if between ages 14–18); be in good health, able to relate
well with others and follow directions quickly and thoroughly. Previous
experience in the chosen work area is preferred. Each staff person is expected
to help in other areas outside of their primary responsibilities whenever
possible or feasible.
Each successful candidate must complete the Camp Kanesatake Staff
Application; must agree to abide by the Staff Conduct Policy and agree to the
CPCI Statement of Faith. Each successful candidate must also successfully pass
background clearances without exception.

Maintenance Staff

Maintenance Manager
Age: 18 and up
Supervises and oversees the maintenance team as they look after and continue
to develop the grounds and facilities throughout the summer. A hands-on position
that offers the opportunity to invest into the lives of younger maintenance
staff. Experience driving tractors, and using power tools required.
Maintenance Team Member (4 positions)
Age: 15 and up
Serves the campers by keeping the facilities and grounds in good condition.
Responsibilities include grass mowing, hauling garbage, and general repairs as
necessary.

Assistant Cook (2 positions)
Age: 18 and up
Assists the Head Cook in the preparation and delivery of all the meals.
Experience in large-group meal preparation desired. May also support other
program activities as needed.
Kitchen Team Leader (1 position)
Age: 18 and up
Responsible for supervising and working with the kitchen crew to ensure the
smooth operation of the dining hall and serving areas. May also support other
program activities as needed.
Kitchen Team Member (3 positions)
Age: 15 and up
Responsible for the dining room table setup and food service, food stocking,
dish washing, and cleanup for all meals. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. May also
support other program activities as needed.

Office Superhero (Administrative Assistant)
Age: 18 and up
The successful candidate must be very computer literate, well-organized, and
have a pleasant demeanor. They will be the primary point of contact with parents
and outside vendors. Responsible for data entry of camper registrations and the
smooth flow of operations in the camp office. May also support other program
activities as needed.
Store Manager
Age: 18 and up
Responsible for overseeing the camp store operation, including: updating camper
database, updating inventory, stocking supplies, and running daily store times
for all campers. Must be well-organized, have a pleasant demeanor, and be
computer literate. May also support other program activities as needed.

General Program Staff
Age: 17 and up
Assist the Program Director. Requires imaginative people who are committed to
campers, able to think “outside the box”, and improvise quickly in a group
setting. Program staff members are responsible for leading low ropes challenge
course elements, large-group camp activities, campfires, and other activities
that require a good deal of supervision, personal interaction, presence, and
energy.
Coach for Teenage Volunteers
Age: 18 and up (high school graduate)
Coordinates and leads the ministry to our teenage volunteers each week.
Responsibilities include planning and organizing volunteer work schedules,
communicating expectations, teaching activity facilitation, delineating work
responsibilities, and supervising follow-up. May also be responsible for leading
small group Bible studies and mentoring.
Crafts Coordinator
Plans, prepares, creates, and teaches age-appropriate and
Christian-orientated programs to all campers throughout the summer. Responsible
for care of craft equipment/craft cabin. Must feel comfortable using various
crafts materials for creating weekly products.
Drama Instructor
Prepares and leads instructional times with groups of campers each week. Will
also be responsible for coordinating staff and camper skits. Must be very
creative and have experience teaching others.
Life Guard (2 positions)
Age: 18 and up
Life guards must be currently certified lifeguards by the Red Cross.
Responsibilities include daily life guarding, assisting in water-based
activities/events, and maintenance of pool equipment.
Music Leader
Responsible for leading music during chapel and campfire times. Applicants
must have experience leading worship with groups of children or teenagers. Must
be willing to learn and then lead a variety of worship songs. Guitar and/or
piano skills preferred.
Videographer
Capture and reproduce the camp experience for the campers to take home on
DVDs and photo CDs. Previous experience in multi-media production including
Adobe Photoshop, and Final Cut on a Mac platform required.
